Public Service Core Policy

Innovation & Enterprise

Empowering youth entrepreneurship, cultivating creative industries, and building dynamic pathways for business creation.

Overview

Why Innovation Matters

The economy of tomorrow cannot be built solely on the jobs of today. We must create value, not just seek employment.

Young people are inherently creative, tech-savvy, and ready to challenge the status quo. However, stepping into entrepreneurship or the creative industries requires more than just a good idea—it requires financial literacy, accessible startup support, mentorship, and an ecosystem that tolerates bold innovation.

The Office’s Position is clear: We must transition youth from being job-seekers to job-creators. By dismantling barriers to small business development and championing digital and creative skills, we ensure that the next generation leads Seychelles into a diversified, modern economy.

The Vision

"We are building a culture where youth-led startups are supported from pitch to profit, where creative talents are recognized as serious industries, and where innovation becomes the driving force of our national development."
