Public Service Core Policy

Digital Access

Advocating for digital inclusion, affordable connectivity, and essential technology skills for the next generation.

Overview

Why Digital Access Matters

In the modern era, the internet is not a luxury; it is a fundamental requirement for education, commerce, and civic participation.

The "Digital Divide" refers to the growing gap between those who have easy, affordable access to technology and those who do not. When a student cannot access online resources, or a young entrepreneur cannot reach digital markets, they are placed at an immediate disadvantage in the global economy.

The Office’s Position is clear: Digital inclusion must be a national priority. We must ensure affordable internet access for all students, modernize our digital government services, and equip young people with the coding and cyber-safety skills necessary to thrive in a technology-driven world.

The Vision

"We are working toward a Seychelles where no student is held back by a lack of connectivity, where digital literacy is taught as a core life skill, and where technology serves as a bridge to opportunity rather than a barrier."
